GETTING AT THE TRUTH

THE BRITISH EMPIRE

OUTSPOKEN SPEECH.

Only Hope Of Peace Is Britain’s Armed Strength. Press Association—Copyright. Received II a.tn.) LONDON, January 13. That the ultimate aim of Nazi Germany is to split the British Empire, was the outspoken warning of Sir Malcolm 'Robertson, ex-Ambassador to the Argentine, when speaking at Leeds. 'He declared: “My firm conviction is that the ultimate objective of Germany is the British Empire, and she will not be content till she gets it. Germany is only repeating her Moroccan tactics of pre-war days. “If Germany desires peace, why is she pulling in her belt to buy raw materials for war? “The only hope of peace is Britain arming quickly enough to insist on the observance of the League Covenant.”
