Rapid Modernisation Of Business Area.

The past year has seen a big contribution made to the work of modernising the business t.rea cf Stratford.

The demolition of the old building on the north side of the Post Office removes the last break in a line of 18 concrete and brick buildings stretching from the new Union Chambers building on the south side of the Posit Office- to within four buildings of Regan Street. On the other side of the stredt proportion of wooden buildings is greater, but at the preseflt rate of progres-s the day cannot be very far distant when the whole business area of Broadway will be composed of modern buildings.
