INTERIM DIVIDEND.

Commercial Bank of Australia

The manager in New Zealand of the Commercial Bank of Australia, Ltd., has received a cable message from the head office in Melbourne, announcing an interim dividend for the six months ended December 31, on preference shares, at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum, and on ordinary shares at 6 2-3 per cent, per annum. The dividend is payable in Australian currency on February 5. Transfer books will close on January 20.

The interim dividend on the ordinary shares is 4d. per share. For the financial year ended June 30, 1936, the Commercial Bank of Australia paid an interim dividend of 3d. and a final dividend of 4d. per share on the ordinary, the two being equivalent to 5 5-6 per cent, per annum.
