MISSING WOMAN.
Under Orders Of Deportation But Disappeared. Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, Jan. 8. It is reported that, rhe women who was not allowed to land from the Niagara last month and who should have been sent back to New Zealand on board the Awatea has evaded the authorities and deportation. The immigration officials had allowed the woman off the Niagara pending the departure of the Awatea on January 2 on condition that she
remained at the young women’s hostel near the city. She stayed there several days and then disappeared. A later message this morning says that no search will be made by the Customs or Police for the New Zealand woman who disappeared from the hostel cabled last night. Provided she does not become a charge on the community no action will be taken against her, but should she seek assistance of any charitable organisation she will be taken into custody ana returned tp New Zealand.
