ECHOES OF TEST.
Australians Before Board Of Control. Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, Jan. 8. After the third test yesterday four of the Australian players, S. J. McCabe, W. J. O'Reilliy, L. O'Brien and L. O’B. Fleet,wood-Smith, were requested to appear before the Board in regard to rumours of certain happenings in Sydney and Melbourne, the nature of which is a close secret. The board heard the explanations which it regarded as satisfactory. The players, however, expressed resentment at being called before the board, as did some of their colleagues Who were not carpeted, but the whole matter ended in a good spirit and there are not likely to be any repercussions.
A board member stated that the captain, D. G. Bradman, had made no complaint by either word ot mouth or writing against any player, nor was there any evideince of dissension in the team.
