My observation of the people of all the Americas has convinced me that a democratic form ot government can succeed. I do not wisi to substitute any other form.

“The inter-American conference did much to assure peace in this hemisphere. Here is an example that must have a wholesome effect on t'he rest of the world. The conference at Buenos Aires sent forth a message on behalf of all the democracies of the world. It is high time that dsniocracy asserted itself.”
