Sculling Championship.

Keen interest Is being aroused in Australia in the suggestion that a sculling championship should be rowed on the Parramatta- River between the present holder of the title, Robert Pearce, and 'the Northern Rivers star, A. Burns. This contest is recommended as part of the programme to celebrate Sydney’s 150th year in sport, and finds' favour with the one-time world’s champion, J. Paddon. The project is well recommended to the consideration of the Minister for Labour and Industry, Mr J. Dunningiham, M.L.A., who is the pivot of the whole movement in connection with the celebrations, and of the chairman of the committee, Mr E. S. Marks.
