Bowling Control.
(When. replying to the toast of the Wellington Bowling Centre at the Wellington Club’s jubilee reunion, the president of the centre (Mr W. Gilbert) said that he could assure bowlers that if they wanted a thing done the centre would do its best for them, reports the Wellington “Post.” “We want a road to the jack,” said a bowler from, the background. “The only way to get to the jack is by good play,” Mr Gilbert replied, and added that he had never been able to find a royal road so could not supply other players with one.
