Sarazen’s Advice.

The Metropolitan Golf Club in Melbourne appears to be taking to heart the advice' tendered by Gene Sarazen, who criticised the short holes on its course. An expert is being called in to advise upon the reconstruction of some of the holes. This is a wise move, for the Metropolitan has some excellent long holes, such as the ninth and its three splendid finishing holes, comments an Australian writer. But that Ehort 6th and short 15th! They have no part in a modern championship links.
