CLIMBERS STRANDED

On Mountain Ledge Above Hitler’s Retreat. Press Association —Copyright. (Received 11.30 a.m.) Berlin, January 4. Two young mountaineers have been stranded since January 1 on a small ledge 3.000 feet above Koenigsee overlooking Herr Hitler’s retreat at Berchtesgaden. They are cut off by avalanches. It is feared that starvation and freezing may cause their deaths. Rescuers are unable to approach, but aeroplanes succeeded in dropping food and blankets. It was observed that the strandfed mefi were completely exhausted.
