The Italian-German suggestions that the British-Italian Mediterranean agreement implies Britain’s tacit approval of Italy’s intervention on behalf of Franco is strongly resented in London. The Berlin correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that the impression is growing that the German naval forces around Spain are working on a definite plan, namely, the seizure of one Spanish ship daily, until Germany has attained her ends.
