Improved Demand For Cheese Overseas. The London butter market was firm on Saturday, according to information supplied by the Primary Products Marketing Department to the Dairy Board. Quotations are as follows, those for the previous week bing in brackets: New Zealand salted, 94/- to 95/(94/-; unsalted, 97/- to 98/- (100/- to 102/-). Australian, salted, 94/- to 95/(93/-); unsalted, 94/- to 95/- 94/- to 96/-). Argentine, unsalted, 86/- up to 94/(88/- to 94/.). Danish, 87/- f.0.b., 108/- to 110/spot (84s; 110 s). Dutch, unsalted, 92s to 955. Siberian, salted, 90s, 925, up to 94s (91s to 925). 94s (91s to 925). Ukrainian, salted 90s, 92s up to 945. Lithuanian, unsalted, 965. There is |an improved demand for cheese at the lower prices now ruling. Quotations, with those for the previous week in brackets, are as follows: — New Zealand, white, 57s to 58s, (60s to Gls); coloured, 57s to 58s (60s to 61s). ..Canadian, white, 70s to 72s (71s); coloured, 70s to 72s (71s). English, finest farmers, 86s to 88s (86s to 88s); factory cheese, 52s to 60s (595).
