SHILLING A WEEK.
South Island Newspapers Up In Price.
The South Island ne/wspaner proprietors have decided that the discount of threepence on the weekly subscription to the daily newspaper shall be withdrawn from January 1, 1937. The alteration is due to the greatly increased costs of production in conjunction with an advance in the price of newsprint, which takes effect from the beginning of the year.
