General Franco has issued a statement that he has not the slightest intention of using" poison gas, which he regards as inhuman.
Fatality At Japanese Dam. (Received Noon To-day). Tokio, December 22. Eighteen were killed and thirtynine were injured when the melting snow again burst the wall of the Osarusawa Dam.

Fred Henneberry Suffering From Nervous Strain. (Received 1.30 p.m.) Sydney, To-day - . An intense hervous strain from business and personal worries and long training, caused Fred Homieberry’s collapse at the Stadium on Monday night. His seizure is attributed by the doctor to “petit mal,” a minor form of epileptic fit. A long rest from boxing has been ordered. Henneberry’s father and fiancee both died this year. Sons Of Abyssinian Chief Executed. (Received Noon To-day’). Rome, December 22. The Italian forces in Abyssinia have executed (he two sons of Ras Kassa, who is now residing with Haile Selassie in England.
