The naval year book published at Berlin shows that early in 1937 Germany will possess a submarine fleet about twice as large as that of 1914, Submarines'completed or to be ready in the spring consist of 24 of 250 tons, 10 of 500 tons, and two of 712 tons, although the UlB, which was recently sunk, must be deducted. Surface vessels being constructed in elude a 35,000 tons battleship, two 26,000-ton battleships, two aeroplane carriers, three 10,000-ton cruisers, six destroyers and 12 torpedo boats, all being built under the Anglo-German naval agreement.
