HOSPITAL RADIO.

COMPLETE INSTALLATION Concert By Stratford Band. In spite of a rather poor attendance, the concert given by the Stratford Citizens’ Band in the Plaza Theatre last flight for the Stratford hospital radio fund, raised £3 12s 6d. The lack of support by the public was warranted neither by the standard of the programme nor the cause for which it was given, said Mr A. E.

Follock, chairman of the citizens’ band committee. It was realised that country folk were busy but the attendance of town residents was disappointing. In anticipation of the £75 now required being forthcoming the Radio Committee had arranged for a complete installation to be made, said Mr T. R. Anderson, chairman. The programme given contained marches, selections and carols by the band, assisting artists being Miss E. Moon, accompanist, Mr R. Anderson Toko (songs), Miss S. Esplin, Stratford (songs), Mrs R. Mcßeth, Stratford (songs), and Mr Stewart Gordon (pianoforte solos). Mr Gordon’s novelty items were particularly appreciated.
