The First Death Occurs In Dunedin.

The first death resulting from infantile paralysis occurred today, the victim being a lad of 13 years, who was affected by the disease in various parts of the body. A more favourable circumstance was that there were only four further admissions to hispital for observation during the pay, a smaller number than has been the case for some days. This makes a total of 39 admissions throughout the outbreak, which is still confined to the city and the suburbs. Seventeen of the cases have been definitely paralysed.
