L’lntransigeant states that four Spanish insurgent ’planes dropped a number of bombs :n tfhe neighbourhood oi the international tunnel at Portbou, on the Franco-Spanish frontier, wounding a Frenchman in French territory. A cablegram from Basle says that the newspaper National Zeitung reveals new German troop movements on the F* ranco-Swiss frontiers. A new force called the “Secret Frontier Army” has been created, consisting of picked Storm Troops, Brown Shirts and mechanised members of the Nazi Party, all uniformed and equipped to take the field. The army began its first manoeuvres yesterday with movements of arms and ammunition.
