1 Mr. Jordan Denounces I Spanish War. | Press Association—Copyright. ’> Geneva, December 12. | In what the Daily Mail describes as “one of the most outspoken speeches ever heard at the League,” Mr W. J. Jordan, New Zealand High Commissioner, argued that, if the | rebels maintained the frightfulness oi : the Spanish war, proof of it should ; be adduced and Italy and Germany should be invited to attend the Council and explain why they supported , the insurgents. The German Charge d’Affairs at Paris warned M. Delbos, French Minister of War, that Germany would | not allow Russia’s role in Spain and j Catalonia to pass unchallenged. i The League of Nations Council adopted unanimously a resolution which recommends that, members of .the League represented on the NonIntervention Committee should spare no efforts to render the non-interven-tion agreement as stringent as pos- i sible and ensure effective supervision. ,
