Princess Elisabeth Now Included In Prayers.

Queen Elizabeth will be confined to her house for a few days with a very mild attack of influenza, a sequel to a slight cold, preventing her public appearance on Monday, her husband’s birthday as King, To-day Princess Elizabeth for the first time was specifically included in the prayer for the Royal Family. Among<the Duchess of Kent’s many birthday gifts to-day was one from the Duke of Windsor, who bought it when he was King, and handed it to the Duke of Kent, asking him to present it. Princess Elizabeth’s becoming heir presumptive does not necessitate a change of plans for her education, says the Daily Telegraph. Her father decided some time ago that she should not be sent to school but should be educated at home, where she began serious lessons five years ago. She has made considerable progress in French and German. She knows the rudiments of Latin, and has taken kindly to geography, as faraway parts of the Empire are more than names to her, she having received many presents and toys from them.
