DUKE’S PLANS.

Remaining In Austrian Tyrol At Present. 51 . . Press Association—Copyright. Vienna, December 13. The Duke arrived at Salzburg, near Vienna, at 9.15 p.m. Many dignataries were assembled at the station. The Austrian Government was not represented because the visit is considered strictly private. Sir Walford Selby, British Minister, attended unofficially. The Duke looked well and rested. He allowed photographers outside the station to photograph him. ■ / “Any’ messages for me?” was,.the* Duke’s first question after leaving the train. He was handed a bundle of telegrams and letters which he crammed into his pockets. Shortly afterwards he was whisked away in Baron Eugene Rothschild’s limousine to Enzesfeld Castle, accompanied by Lieut.-Colonel Piers Legh and a valetcarrying the ..terrier. The Duke is reported to have telephoned Mrs Simpson immediately on his arrival. He may remain at the castle for some days and will possibly consult the ear specialist Dr. Neumann,

A message from Cannes announced that Mrs Simpson will not meet the Duke of Windsor during the next five months until the divorce is made absolute. Lord Brownlow, carrying messages from Mrs Simpson, will jcin the Duke in Austria.

The owner of Enzesfeld Castle, where the Duke of Windsor is expected to remain until Christmas, afterwards probably visiting the Austrian Tyrol, is Baron Eugene Rothschild, head of 'the Vienna branch of the family, who married an American, Countess Katharine Schoenborn, formerly Miss Wolff, daughter of Mr C. Wolff, Philadelphia.
