NOT ONE REQUEST
EMPIRE MIGRATION Lord Bledisloe Complains Of Apathy. Press Association—Copyright. Received 11 a.m. London, Dec. 9. The urgent need for the resumption of migration was stressed by speakers at the Empire Industries Association luncheon. Lord Bledisloe said that peopling the Dominions and the development of their resources was of the most vital importance, coupled with English-American friendship. The time had arrived for stocktaking.
‘‘The Empire,” Lord Bledisloe said, “must determine its human carrying capacity. We must ha vex more migrants. Since I have returned after five years in New Zealand, I have not received one request, official or otherwise, to pass on the benefits of my‘ experience in that Dominion. It is time that the; Empire held a grand council to organise its great resources, and transfer from our depressed areas thousands of people who could help to develop the Dominions.
