PRIZES TO NEW ZEALAND. SYDNEY, June 17. The sheep show opened to-day n line weather. The judges were i'» •> essed by the splendid quality of tin••'ill ill'll s. 'l'he New Zealander, Mr. Donab Hrant, was unsuccessful in the Corrie dale classes, the chief prize-winner.-being C. E. and 11. F. Prell, who obtained ihe champion and reserve chain pion awards for Corriedale rams. MiGrant, however, obtained first prize for a Border Leicester ram under one vear. Mr A. S. E'worthy, Timaru M-eui-ed second nrize for a Southdown ram under one year.
Mr h’lwortliy abo won first prize for a Southdown ewe, one year or under, and <eeond prize for a pen ot 'wo rams. There was keen competition n Biitish breeds and Southdowns, ui-aiv a particularly flue display.
