Nothing To Report, Says Mr. Savage. press Association —Copyright. Wellington, Last Night. The Cabinet held another long meeting to-day, but the constitutional crisis was only mentioned and not discussed. The day was given to normal administrative business. After the Cabinet rose late in the afternoon Mr. Savage said the latest message from the British Government could be described the best, and that almost literally there was nothing .further to report or say about the situation. Meanwhile, members of the Cabinet would not. be called upon to sit and wait for developments. "If the position changes,” added Mr Savage, ‘‘the Cabinet, of course, will meet at once, but that does not seem likely at the moment;”

Messrs Walsh, Hughes and Ebbett, was appointed to deal -with the'matter with power to act, SATURDAY HALF-HOLIDAY. A letter from the CenL'nl Taranaki Executive of the W.D.F.i' protesting against the change to s-ii.-a.-v half-holiday by Stratford business bouses and expressing appreciation of the action of some business places in remaining open on Saturdays* was received by the Stratford Chamber of Commerce- last night. It was decided to reply stating .that ill© chamber ms not in a position to take any action in. the.matter.
