STRATFORD PANTOMIME
SECOND SHOWING. Performance For Hospital Radio Fund. The second highly successful presentation of the pantomime “Elfin Dale,” took place at the Stratford Town Hall last night, before a large audience. The proceeds are to be donated to the hospital radio fund. The cast and play were the same as for last Tuesday night’s performance, with the exception that Mr C. Day was replaced in the Chinese scene by' Mr J. Whiting, and Mr A. A. Smith took Mr von Stunner’s part. Owing to illness, Miss Jean Elgar was also unable to perform and her part 'was taken by Miss Norma Spearman. At the conclusion of the performance, Mr T. R. Anderson, chairman of the Stratford Hospital Board, expressed the appreciation the board felt of the generosity of the performers and producers of “Elfin Dale” in donating the proceeds of the performance to the hospital radio fund. He personally had greatly enjoyed the show, which he regarded as one of the best displays of amateur talent he had seen.
The board’s task of raising funds in time to have the wireless installed in the hospital by Christinas was a difficult one, and Hie assistance given by the pantomime company was a big factor in making this possible. Mr N. 0. Ebbet.t spoke on behalf of the artists.
