STRATFORD HIGH SCHOOL.
A £1 for £1 subsidy of up to £7 12s 6d will be allowed the Stratford Technical High School Board, by the Education Department, for the, purchase of books for the school library.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. The Stratford Technical High School will break up on Friday’, December 11. The breaking up ceremony will be held on the Friday afternoon.
STRATFORD BOARD’S WINDFALL. Two windfalls were secured by the Stratford Technical High School Bodrd last month. Both were connected with the trading in of a motor mower ajnd the purchase! of a nc{.v machine. The firm with whom .the
Ijoaid dealt allowed £4O on the old mower. They informed last night’s meeting of the, board, however, that they had sold the mower for more than this and forwarded a cheque for £3. The board had also sent a request for a refund of £1 for work that had been found necessary on the new mower. . This amount was forwarded by the manufacturing firm in England and, benefited by the exchange rate, the board received £1 ss.
