Stratford Driver’s Narrow Escape On Crossing.
When passing over the Seyton Street crossing shortly before 9 o’clock yesterday, a motor-car was struck by the mixed train pulling out of the station. Fortunately the driver, Mr C.. White, Stratford, suffered no injury. The engine hit the back wheel of the car, throwing the vehicle clear of the line and causing extensive damage to the rear portion. Mr White had been driving up Seyton Street towards Broadway but after the accident! was fflaaing in practically the opposite direction.
