SKELETON UNEARTHED
Knees Drawn Up Under Chin Press Association—Copyright. Christchurch, November 28. A complete human skeleton was un earthed near Gore Bay yesterday by workmen engaged in widening the road. No clothing or other articles were found with the skeleton, which has been presumed, although so far without corrorboration of expert opinion, to be that of a Maori. The skeleton was found three feet below the surface and 30 feet above sea level in the sandhills. The knees were drawn closely up to the body under the chin. The head is described as square-jawed and lowbrowed, with the teeth in perfect condition. The police have been notified and will investigate.
