COLLISION WITH CAR RETURNING FROM CHURCH Three Boys, Riding Abreast, AH Knocked Down. Press Association —Copyright. Nelson, To-day. Stanley Joseph Bnshford, a cyclist, aged 19, was killed outright when a car driven by L. Lammas overtook three cyclists riding abreast at Springgrove last evening, knocking all three down. Leslie Hansen was taken to hospital in a serious condition with head injuries and a fractured leg. Arnold Barlow was thrown into a hedge, suffering minor injuries. The driver of the car suffered cuts to the arms and head from a broken windscreen. The boys had attended the Church of Christ at. Spring Grove and had proceeded only a short distance when the accident occurred. A later message says that a second death in the Spring Grove fatality occurred when Leslie Hansen, aged 18, died early this afternoon in Hospital. Further details show that Bashford and Hansen were hit. directly from bo hind, while Barlow was thrown to the side into the hedge. Another boy named Boniface wa? also in the party, but escaped injury.
