In the New South Wales tennis championships, the New Zealander, 1) Coombe, was eliminated in the first round of the men's singles by I). Fer guson, who won S-G, 4-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4. In the first round of the combined doubles, Coombe and Miss Vickery defeated 1). Pails and Miss Webb, 6-2 8-6.
