TELEVISION RIGHTS.
THE FIRST IN LONDON. Walter Hackett, the playwright, has the distinction of being the first to sell the television rights in a fulllength play. The play is “The Fugitives,” now enjoying a successful run at the Apollo Theatre, London, and the television rights have been acquired by a radio broadcasting company in tho United States. Offers for the film rights had already been received, but this television offer outbid even Hollywood. "The Fugitives,” a lively comedy with the Spanish revolution as its background, gives Marion Lome (Mrs Hackett), who, with her husband, is responsible for the production, one of her best and most characteristic roles.
