FAST TRAVELLING

FROM PALMERSTON Aeroplane Brings Director To Stratford Meeting. An aeroplane was commissioned this morning in Palmerston North to bring Mr. R. Porter, a director of Taranaki Central Press Ltd., to a meeting of directors at Stratford. Piloted by Squadron-Leader "Tiny” White, a Manawatu Aero Club Moth left the Milsom Aerodrome at 8.35 a.m., arriving at the Hawera ’drome 1 hour .10 minutes later. From there, Mr. Porter motored to his meeting at Stratford and was at "The Press” Office by 10.15 a.m. He returned by air this afternoon. Good flying conditions were met with on the trip. There were no clouds to interrupt visibility and SquadronLeader White followed the coast-line practically the whole way.
