The Bible in Russia
.—The 'Holy Synod' of Russia—the first ecclesiastical auihority iv the realm is now sanctioning the printing of the Gospels in tl.e Russ language at St. Petersburgh. 150,000 portions had been issued before February last. This is considered a most favorable omen for the prevalence of religious truth in Russia, as since the decease of the Emperor Alexander the authorities had impeded rather than favored the dissemination of the sacred writings in the native tQDgue,
