Adams.—October 4, of diptheria, Sarah Ann, aged) 10 years, daughter of Mr. Richard, Adams. Leahy.—October 5, of convulsions, Kitty, daughter of Mr. Daniel Leahy, of Waimea South, aged 5 days. Hoby.—October 11, at Nelson, of bronchitis, Allen, son of Mr. George Hoby, late of Taranaki, aged 5 years. Newpobt.—October 13, suddenly, from natural causes, Susan, wife of Samuel Newport,^of Nelson, aged 36 years. Jacobsen.—October 13, of bronchitis, George William, infant son of John Henry Jacobsen, Waimea-st., aged 2 years, Furkis. —October 16, of apoplexy, Mr. James Purkis, aged 81 years. Pearce.—October 21, at his residence, Brook-street, of dropsy, Mr. Samuel Pearce, aged 64. The deoeased was an old settler and greatly respected.
