■y Freemasonry.— Our gracious Queen is tho daughter of a Mason, several of her royal uncles wero members of the craft; among the crowned heads of Europe who join its assemblies are the King of the Belgians and the King of Hanover; among the illustrious dead, who were once its brightest ornaments, may be named the immortal Wellington, the lion-hearted Napier, and the highly gifted Ellesmere. Amongst its living supporters, are the venerable Combermere, the benevolent Zetland, and the kind-hearted Yarborough. Several ofthe most promising young noblemen of the day, including Lords Caernarvon, Goderich, and Lincoln, have been initiated. Many of the most distinguished of the members of the present Government join its ranks, whilst several of the equally honored members of the Opposition aie also amongst its supporters. It exists to great extent among the learned professions ; also among merchants, manufacturers, and tradesmen, and the more respectable portion of the laboring*, clashes. It flourishes in every country under heaven; and good men of every nation are eligible to be admitted members of the fraternity. Parties who disagree on almost every imaginable subject, in ty Uw> mesWn perfect unity.
