SYDNEY MARKETS.—March 27.

In consequence of the non-arrival of the mail until late in the afternoon, and the additional labor imposed upon the Post-office officials by the departure of the Jeddo to-morrow, we are up to the present time without our private advices. During the day businese generally has in a great measure been suspended. Messrs. Mort and Co. held their usual produce sale, and a large portion of the wool offered was disposed of at prices showing a decline upon previous rates, but not in excess of the depreciation in the English market indicated by the news telegraphed from Adelaide and Melbourne. About 300 bales were catalogued, and, as above observed, the greater part passed the hammer. Amongst the principal parcels sold were— HH, 30 bales clean fleece wool, free from seed and burr, 20£ d; HA, 18 bales ditto, at 22^d ; and WB, 12 bules scoured fleece, at 2s 3d per lb. Sheepskins.—The quantity offered was a little over 2000, and the whole of the lots were sold a about the previous week's prices the highest rate obtained was 9Jd for a lot of full woolled skins. Hides.—Upwards of 270 were offered, but they were chiefly of inferior quality and condition, and

there were no lots of sufficient importance to indicate the value of this article of produce, since the arrival of the mail, for shipment to England. Fine flour, £19; seconds, £17; wheat, 6s to 7s; bran, Is to Is2d.
