Complainant not wishing to proceed further in the "matter, and'defendant having expressed contrition for his conduct, after a caution from his Worship as to his future behaviour, he was discharged. *

George. Long answered to the .information ,of Richard King for having illegally broken into the house of complainant, situate at Waimea West. Defendant pleaded that he was not aware he had done anything wrong; he rented part of the house from King, and did not: consider that individual justified in refusing him admittance. : The complainant, on the other hand, stated defendant was not sober at the time, and that, having effected an entrance, he proceeded to the dairy and scattered the contents of the various utensils about the place, assigning as a reason for so doing that he was looking for something to eat. i Complainant, however, did hot seek anything more than some recompense for the damage done. The accused had a young family entirely dependant upon him for support; and it was desirable that he should be. allowed to" go and attend to their.wants. After a reprimand from his Worship, accompanied with an order to pay £2 damages, Long was discharged.
