MPS CALLED 'LITTLE ADDERS'

In a discussion in the House recently, Taupo M.P., Mr J. W. Ridley, called the National Party "little adders". He made his comment during the second reading of the Superannuation Corporation Bill. Mr Ridley was speaking about funds for local development being provided by the corporation. The member for Wallace, Mr B. E. Talboys, asked what was the limit specified by the Minister for funds invested in private areas. After Mr Talboys was told 15 per cent, he asked if these were private companies. Mr Ridley replied: "The member for Wallace and his party do not think about development. They only think about adding up money. They are little adders."
