Australia beat Taupo in a debate in the Lake Taupo Yacht Club pavilion on Thursday night. The adjudicator, Mrs H. Faville, said the result was close on the subject, "That young fry should be allowed to fry".
Australia took the affirmative. There was a good attendance but few interjections came from the floor. "I think they were all a bit overawed by the subject," said Mrs Faville.
