Taupo wins 'rooster'
Ihe Taupo branch of the New Zealand Deerstalkers' Association held its monthly shoot on the Tauhara range recently. In conjunction with the local running boar championship, an inter-club challenge shoot with representatives from the W aikato branch for the "cock o' the roost" trophy was held. Taupo defeated Waikato for "the rooster" with a 19.2 points margin. Some excellent scores were recorded. Individual results were. — 100 yards, possible 50 Prone: Don Haycock 49.1. Sitting: Jim Chilcott 48. Kneel: Jim Chilcott 42. Offhand: Robin Bishop 38. Running boar: Graeme Anderson 84. Grand aggregate: Jim Chilcott.
