BOROUGH OF TAUPO fWWL' NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE & LEVY RATES Pursuant to Section 52 "of the Rating Act 1967 public notice is given that the Taupo Borough Council proposes at a meeting to be held at 7.30 p.m. on Monday, the 26th day of August, 1974, to make and levy the . following rates and charges for the year which commenced on the first day of April 1974 and ends on the 31st day of March 1975: — 1 . A Consolidated Rate under the provision of Section 108 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 of 3.7195 cents in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Taupo such Consolidated Rate comprising: (a) A General Rate for the general purposes of the Borough, as provided for in Section 90 6f the Municipal Corporations Act 1954; 2.6236 c (b) A Separate Rate to provide the levy payable to the Taupo Urban Fire Authority, as provided for in Section 54 of the Fire Services Act 1949; 0.2410 c (c) A Separate Rate to provide for the expenses of the public library, made and levied under the provisions of Section 104 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954; 0.1242 c (d) A Separate Rate to provide for the street lighting of the Borough, made and levied under the provisions of Section 101 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954; 0.0571 c (e) A Special Rate to provide for the charges for interest, principal repayments, and sinking fund instalments, payable in respect of the 1960 Works Loan, the 1971 Works Redemption Loan and the 1974 Works Redemption Loan; 0.1613 c, (f) A Special Rate to provide for the charges for interest, principal repayments, and sinking fund instalments, payable in respect of the 1969 and 1972 Sewerage Loans; 0.5123 c 3.7195 c 2. A Water Rate under the provisions of Section 95 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, of: — (a) $20 on all land and buildings separately occupied as dwelling houses to which water is supplied; (b) $10 on all land and buildings separately occupied as stores and warehouses or for any purpose other than a dw§JUn|§house; (c) $10 on aif 'iand and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied, situated within one hundred yards of any part of the waterworks. Pursuant to Section 86A of the Rating Act 1967 and to the Special Order passed by the Taupo Borough Council on the 21st day of December 1970 and confirmed on the 25th day of January 1971, the foregoing rates are payable by instalments due on the first days of April, June, August, October, -December and February in the aforesaid rating year, and pursuant to the said Special Order an additional charge of ten per cent will be added to all such rates unpaid after the expiration of twenty-eight days after the date on which the rates assessed on each instalment become due and payable.
