True dedication
Several Taupo Soccer Club members saw the live telecast of the world cup soccer match' on Monday morning in style. They hired a motel unit and settled down to watch the West Germany-Holland . 2-1 thriller in colour. The members . reckon their early morning turnout was well worth it. The live telecast was the main incentive arid the fact it was in colour put the icing on the cake, so to speak. But, as with all best laid plans, one of the viewers was feeling long on elation but short on sleep yesterday. Seems one of the party could not remember the rendezvous time, so he called on his mate at 10.30 on Sunday night — and they were still awake at sparrow chirp on Monday.
