$700 taken
Explosives were used to open a safe in Taupo on Sunday night. About $700 in cash was stolen from the Lake Autodrome on Tongariro Street between 6 p.m. Sunday and 4.30 a.m. yesterday.
The thieves entered the office through a rear toilet window and blew up the firm's floorstanding safe. Petrol vouchers were also taken. Taupo detectives are investigating.
