$200 RAISED ON WALK
Pupds, teachers and parents from the Waitahanui Primary School walked the eight miles from their school to' the Waipahihi marae last weekend — and raised more than $200. The walkathon was organised by the school committee to raise money for the school. A spokesman said yesterday they are very happy with the result. Ages on the two-houl jaunt ranged from five years to "early forties." After the walkers had regained their -breath, they went to the De Brett's pools for a swim, then to the Waipahihi marae for a hangi.
