Tyre firm robbed
About $156 in cash and cheques was stolen from the Reidrubber Tyre Centre, Spa Road, at the weekend. The cash drawer from the office is also missing. Taupo police said there was no sign of forced entry to the building. The money disappeared between 5'p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. Sunday. Police are also looking for a Honda 50cc street scrambler, taken from John Street on Friday night. The machine, which is orange and bears the number 230QC, went missing from outside a house. It belongs to a nurse who depends on the motor cycle for transport to work.
