Course proves popular

Taupo St John Ambulance cadets recently held a course in essentials of first aid. Twenty-nine boys attended the course of six lectures conducted by Dr J. Taylor and Superintendent K. F. Short Fourteen boys sat and passed the exam and three boys sat and passed the junior cadet exam. The - suceessful candidates were: — Stephen Short, Terence Williams, Mark Giddy, Francis Kahu, Peter Hansen, Robert Scott, Luke Porter, James Sinclair, Paul Groot, Greg Crighton, Mark Draper, Andrew Wright, Raymond Durton and Dale Wilson. Junior cadets were: — Rhys Blackman, Ian Ferguson and Norman Dodunski. The examinations were conducted by Dr M. A. V. Watson and Dr C. A. King. Mr Short said the num-. ber of boys that attended the course was most pleas- ■ ingSeveral had now joined the cadet division.
