Taupo's A-grade badminton team beat Kawerau 8-0 recently in the first Bay of Plenty inter-club fixture. Resuits were (Taupo names first):— Men's singles: J. Giddy beat T. Anderson 15-9, 17-16; B. See beat H. Henare 15-8, 15-10. Ladies singles: S. Reed
beat D. Lomax 11-4, 11-3: U. Croft beat G. Blake 11-7, 11-3. Men's doubles: J. Giddy and B. See beat T. Anderson and H. Henare , 18-17, 15-8. Ladies doubles: S. Reed and U. Croft beat D. Lomax and G. Blake 15-9, 15-10.
