The Taupo Borough Council has collected eight paintings depicting scenes of local interest — and more may be bought. Seven of the paintings have been produced by
artists who have lived in Taupo. The latest is from the brush of well-known Taupo painter, Val Raymond. The Mayor, Mr C. S. Currie, said the council has
been collecting the paintings for about 10 years. "They are all of local interest and even of historic interest," he said. Mr Currie believes Taupo will always take an
