BRIDGE NIGHT

If surroundings help the game the Taupo Bridge Club should enjoy its 1971 season which begins at 7.15 p.m. tomorrow. The club has taken a lease on the old Taupo golf clubhouse and the building has been given a major facelift. Floor coverings, drapes, furniture and fittings have been placed in the newly painted interior transforming the scene of regular golf chit chat into a warm, comfortable club rooms lnstead of talk about drives, chips, shanks hooks and slices, or good luck and bad, the building will from tomorrow night accept the different tempo of a challenging card game. Club membership stands at 65 and the prospect of visiting players is good. Duplicate bridge will commence in February.
