Yachtsmen in lead

Taupo yachtsmen N. Wilson and A. Giffney were leading in the 1971 Cornwell Cup Z class contest at Tauranga after four races in the series. Tauranga and Whakatane were running second and third with only two points separating them. Wilson and Giffney sailed through the fleet into sixth place in yesterday's third heat and in the fourth round pulled away t\ win handsomely by a margin of 40 seconds. Points after four races (using the Olympic low points system) are: Taupo, 17.7; Tauranga, 18; Whakatane, 19.7; Worser Bay 33.1; Evans Bay, 33.4 and Paramata 44.
